The Night Where Wishes Came True

Tonight, it rained again. Not that Dean hates it, but he was in preference to have a warmer temperature now.

“Brr…” he shivered as he flipped open the blanket and jumped onto the bed. He reached out to the desk nearby and grabbed Creative Review September issue, the one he had bought for months but yet to have time to read it. He pulled the blanket higher and made himself comfortable.

As much as he wanted to read further on each article, he could not help but to keep flipping through the pages. Nothing seems to catch his eyes. He ended up closing it and switched on the radio. It blasted out too loud that he clumsily climbed out of his bed and toned it down.

“… well, you are now listening to 88.8FM, Auntie Radio Channel, where only gossips and discounts matter! Tonight, we have an exclusive interview with Dr. Blyton, on his latest discovery of Verbal to Visual Attraction phenomena. Simply describe in layman’s term, it states that for every words mentioned constantly, the higher possibility of such things to occur. The percentage of it to be visualized in real world is also affected by the amount of people asking for it. Is that so Dr. Blyton?”

“Blah! Rubbish!” Dean murmured. He was about to tune to the next channel when a phrase captured his ears.

“… in this sense, it means that if you wish for it ten times every day, it will come true!” The professor kept on blabbering on how great his theory is and how it is proven by one of the utmost truest facts.

“It’s not like I know whether the facts are true facts or not. He can say anything,” Dean thought. But deep in his heart, he still hoped that what the crazy scientist claimed is factual. And thanks to that, he wished in his heart 10 times.

“There… There will be a new dimension opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a new dimension opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a new dimension opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a new dimension opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a new dimension opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a great new dimension portal opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a great new dimension portal opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a great new dimension portal opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a great new dimension portal opening up right before me now.”
“There will be a great new dimension portal opening up right before me now!”

Right at the point he ended his ridiculous wish, his room started to shake. It was shaking so hard that his 100Plus can toppled over and spilled over his unfinished Creative Review.

“Holy…” Dean yelled, and grabbed hold of the bed post. His scream remained incomplete, when he was witnessing in awe the major turning point in his life now.
